  • How do I register for the test?

Where is the mail-in registration form located?
It is located between pages 30 and 31 inside the envelope of the 
hard copy of the Student Guide distributed by ERB and member 
schools.

  • Is a mail-in registration form available online?

No, an original scantron form is required for a mail-in registration.
How do I request testing with accommodations?
ERB arranges administrations for students with a documented 
learning di(erence or physical challenge. 


  • How often may I test?

You may only test once within a six-month period, and the exam 
may not be taken for practice. 

  • Are sample questions available?

Yes, there are sample test questions and practice tests online at www.iseetest.org for each level at no fee.  'ese items are also available 
for purchase in hard copy format.  

  • How do I know what time the test starts?

the time of the test and check-in time are listed on your Verification Letter which you will receive in the mail after your registration 
has been processed.'e test time can also be found online at www.iseetest.org under “Online Registration.” Most testing occurs in the 
morning unless otherwise noted.

  • What should I take to the test?

You should take four sharpened #2 or HB pencils with erasers 
and two black or blue ballpoint pens.  Erasable ballpoint pens are 
permitted. Please see page 9, 4th paragraph under “Before the Test.”
How long does it take to complete the ISEE?
Testing time is approximately 2 hours 20 minutes for Lower Level 
students and 2 hours 40 minutes for Middle/Upper Level students, 
not including directions and breaks. 

  • Are there breaks during the test?

Yes, there are two breaks. 'e first break is after the second section of 
the test, and the second break is after the fourth section of the test. 

  • May I take a snack to the exam?

Yes, you may take a small snack to consume only during the breaks.
Many schools provide snacks, but schools are not required to
provide them. Please be respectful of office food policies if testing at
an office.

  • Do parents receive a copy of the scores?

Yes. 

  • Whom do I call to request that reports be sent to additional schools?

You may call the ISEE Operations Office. 

  • How do I find out if the test is being cancelled/rescheduled due to inclement weather?.

Call the ISEE test site directly or check the school’s website to see 
if they will be holding or rescheduling the test.
